What was it like earning your 600th victory of your career in New York? Did it feel special or different from any other match?

I was happy to win but I’m not motivated by stats. I want to win each and every match I play period.

Most of my friends use a shock protector when they play tennis. I happen to think they are annoying and that they are an excuse for when I am losing a match so I do not use one. What are your thoughts about those and why or why do you not use them?

I am from the old school, meaning I feel like you loose a little feel for the ball using a “vibration dampner” so I have never used one.

What are the proudest moments in your career and also your life?

Tennis wise- definitely winning the Australian Open in 2002, the US Open in 2004, and the French Open in 2007. Also getting to #1 in the world.  Family wise- meeting and marrying my wife and the birth of our son, Graham.

What is your favorite post match meal?

Insalda Caprese and Penne alla Vodka

Do you think the Yankees have what it takes to win the World Series this year?

Definitely, would be a little more comfortable with better starting pitching.

What is your choice of racquet? What caused you to decide to use that?

I use a Head Prestige, it was one of the more popular racquets when I switched in 1994. I really liked it and stayed loyal ever since.

How is WTT different from an ATP tournament? Is it more exciting and/or what distinguishes it from pro tournaments?

WTT is more exciting because you are part of a team and an organization with loyal fans. The music and the atmosphere make it very fan friendly.

What was Graham’s first word?

Daddy

How does the ATP need to further their Doubles Revolution campaign to make it more successful?

Try to push for more TV time on major networks. Put up more doubles posters of the top teams. Devote more than 1 page in the tournament programs-more behind the scenes of top doubles teams. Really play up why Doubles is more exciting and fun to watch than singles!

What was it like representing the Bahamas in the Olympics and do you plan to play in Beijing next year?

I am a 4 time Olympian and feel honored to represent the Bahamas. I’m planning on playing Beijing in 2008. Although we are a small country, we are one of the most successful nations based on medal count per-capital.

How did you and Dawn meet? Was it through a friend, at a tournament, how?

On a plane to Germany

What would be your number one tip for an amateur player who wants to improve their serve?

Eliminate as much tension as possible from the serving arm. Use your legs to hit up.

Do you have any pre-match rituals or superstitions?

Not really. I try to eat pasta before the match without much sauce and drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.

What would you like to see happen with your website?

I would like it to become one of the more popular websites for showcasing doubles as well as being a good source of information for my fans.
